Polytron Corporation has announced that head-scratching indie platform game Fez has now sold one million copies across all platforms.

In a short post on Polytron’s website those who, stole, bought, copied and boycotted where given thanks.

Work on Fez began in 2007 with the game received plenty of attention in during development after an impressive demo at the Independent Games Festival in 2008. Upon release for Xbox 360 and PC in Spring 2012 it won a number of awards and later that year was released on OS X and Linux. Fez was also one of the games featured in Indie Game: The Movie.

In August this year it was announced that Fez would also be ported to PS3, PS4 and PS Vita.
