Ubisoft reveal the release date and first trailer for the next Assassin’s Creed game.

We have a lottery syndicate here at Thumbsticks. We occasionally win £10 that we reinvest in more numbers. And that’s about as exciting as it gets.

It turns out that the Brotherhood of Assassins also has a similar scheme in place to improve team morale, something to offset the countless hours of murder, as today saw the official unveiling of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.

Yes, it’s the most boring title ever given to an Assassin’s Creed title, but luckily the game looks impressive.

Syndicate takes place during the Industrial Revolution and is set against the backdrop of a class war between fat-cat industrialists and the working classes they exploit. A class war that will no doubt be won by a mix of rooftop traversal and fetch quests.

After the relative disappointment of Assassin’s Creed Unity hopes are high for the game. And as a born and bred Londoner, I can’t wait to see how Ubisoft bring the Victorian capital to life.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will be released on 23rd October 2015.
