The Banner Saga 2 marches on to the AppStore and Google Play.

Stoic have announced that The Banner Saga 2 is now available to download on the App Store for iPad and iPhone, and Google Play for Android devices. The game’s release comes via publisher, Versus Evil.

The game is the sequel to, you’ve guessed it, The Banner Saga. The first game received much critical acclaim back in 2014 and won several awards, including Pocket Gamer’s Best RPG Game of the Year.

To mark the mobile release John Watson, technical director at Stoic, said:

“We are incredibly proud to be able to bring mobile gamers this next installment of what is a planned three part saga. Since our earliest prototype, we designed The Banner Saga from the ground up with tablet and mobile devices in mind, so we were thrilled to get the recognition from the media and fans alike for the first game.”

The Banner Saga 2 launched earlier this year on PC, Mac and console and the series has continued to grow a sizeable following. Stoic have confirmed that they are now developing the third and final instalment in the series, which will conclude the saga.

You can pick up The Banner Saga 2 on the iOS App Store and Google Play for Android devices priced $4.99/£3.99/€4.99.
