Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls PS4 release confirmed

Dark Light

NIS America confirm that Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls will get a PlayStation 4 release next year.

The game was originally released on PlayStation Vita in Japan way back in 2014 before finally making its first appearance in the west in September, 2015. The PlayStation 4 version will be released in both physical and digital formats next summer, although an exact date has yet to be confirmed.

The game – which is developed Spike Chunsoft – is an action-adventure spin-off that connects Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. The PlayStation 4 port will include English and Japanese text and audio.

The game casts the player as Komaru Naegi, little sister to Trigger Happy Havoc‘s Makoto Naegi, and follows her adventures as she tries to escape the Monokuma Kids and survive the rampaging Monokuma.

Ultra Despair Girls is a departure for the series, featuring third person shooter sequences, a glut of riddles and puzzle to solve, and a deep ammo system that features multiple bullet types and various gameplay affecting modifiers.

Props go to NIS America for continuing their efforts in publishing Japanese titles across as many formats as possible.

Don’t ultra despair if you want to play the game now, you can still get the original PS Vita release from Amazon.
