Fallout 4 is now available on HTC Vive. Here are the PC system requirements you’ll need for your journey into the Wasteland.

Bethesda continue to repurpose its back catalogue with the new virtual reality version of post-apocalyptic RPG, Fallout 4.

The game rounds off a busy end to the year for Bethesda. In addition to Wolfenstein II, the publishing giant has also released Nintendo Switch versions of Doom and Skyrim, a PlayStation VR edition of Skyrim, and Doom VFR on PC.

Fallout 4 VR includes the full core game, along with various optimisations for virtual reality, including a selection of traversal options, and a reworked building system.

Here are the PC system specs needed to run the game:

Fallout 4 VR System Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
  • Processor: CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD FX 8350 or better
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD RX Vega 56 or better
  • Storage: 30 GB available space

Recommended Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
  • Processor: CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 / AMD RX Vega 64
  • Storage: 30 GB available space

And of course, you’re going to need a supported headset – like an HTC Vive – plus some motion controllers to get the best out of it. Between those high-end specs and an expensive headset, nobody said playing Fallout 4 VR was going to be cheap! Also, don’t forget to download the latest drivers from NVIDIA and AMD to get optimum performance.

That moment when you’re working your way through the vault, and coming out into the harsh light of the ruins of Massachusetts for the first time, though? Totally worth it.
