Jurassic World: Evolution held off top spot in UK games chart by Crash Bandicoot

Jurassic World: Evolution debuts at No.2 in the UK video games chart.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy remains at No.1 in the latest GFK Chart Track UK games chart, with theme park simulation Jurassic World: Evolution clawing its way to No.2 in its first week.

Ubisoft’s The Crew 2, which was last week’s No.2, drops one place to third in the chart. The brilliant but annoying Nintendo Switch exclusive, Mario Tennis Aces, also drops one place to fifth.

The rest of the Top Ten sees a slight shuffle of the pack with Far Cry 5 moving up two positions to No.8, and apocalyptic RPG Fallout 4 falling to tenth place.

Elsewhere in the chart, the critically well-received Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered edition enters the chart at No.20.

It’s also a good week for racing games with Burnout Paradise back in the chart at No.36, Need for Speed Payback at No.24, and Mario Kart 7 on the Nintendo 3DS still drifting around at No.31. Not too shabby for a game originally released in December 2011.

You can see the full UK software chart for the week ending July 7, 2018 at the GFK Chart Track website.
