Sold Out are publishing boxed editions of Frontier’s Planet Coaster and Elite: Dangerous.

Hurrah for games in boxes. Two of Frontier Development’s most successful titles will be coming to stores courtesy of London-based publisher, Sold Out.

PC hit Planet Coaster will arrive at retail on May 23, 2017, and Elite Dangerous: Legendary Edition will be released later in 2017 for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The Elite Dangerous: Legendary Edition includes the base-game, the Elite Dangerous: Horizons expansion, and 1,000 Frontier Points for use as in-game currency.

Of course, the evolving nature of both games means that it’s unlikely to be long before you have to download a significant digital update, but it’s still nice to have something to pop on the shelf, right?

Garry Williams, CEO of Sold Out, thinks so, saying:

“We’re thrilled to be working with Frontier Developments on two of the best titles created in Britain in recent years. Frontier’s creativity, passion and quality is something we admire, and we’re looking forward to working together to take these titles to retail stores around the world.”

David Walsh, COO of Frontier, also thinks so, adding:

“We want Frontier’s great games to be enjoyed by as many players around the world as possible. We’re therefore delighted to be working with Sold Out on our retail presence for Planet Coaster and Elite Dangerous.”
