Dark Light

Here’s the full round-up of games heading to the PlayStation Store on Tuesday April 18, 2017.

There’s a diverse mix in the 17 games coming to the PlayStation Store over the next week, but four of the most interesting titles all have one thing in common; a heavy emphasis on nostalgia.

In a week in which Nintendo announced that it’s discontinuing the NES Classic Mini, you can at least pick up a beautiful assembled collection of NES classics in The Disney Afternoon Collection. The new compilation includes all the old favourites such as, DuckTales 1 & 2Darkwing DuckTaleSpin, and Chip ’n Dale Rescue Rangers 1 & 2.

Also coming to the PlayStation Store is the remastered edition of the classic Lucasarts adventure game, Full Throttle. It’s joined by the HD version of Suda51’s 1999 visual novel, The Silver Case, which our man James Sweeting rather liked on PC.

We’re probably most excited for Lizardcube’s extravagant remake of Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap. The game features a cartoon-like graphical overhaul, and a new orchestral soundtrack. However, fans of the Sega Master System original need not worry, there’s an option to play that version in HD, too.

Here’s the full release lineup:
