Dark Light

What are the Radical Heights system requirements? (Other than a love of the eighties and a tolerance for bandwagon-jumping.)

The suddenly announced and released phenomenon is the antithesis to the long, protracted hype process. We’ve gone from months – if not years – of tedious wind-up to a short, sharp shock, and nowhere is it more apparently than Cliff “Cliffy B” Bleszinski’s two most recent projects, LawBreakers and Radical Heights.

LawBreakers is the gravity defying competitive shooter from Bleszinski’s new studio, Boss Key, which was essentially designed to be Overwatch in Spaaaaaace. It was teased for months, with the obligatory countdown timers and mysterious dribble of information, and then, well, it was a bit of a damp squib.

PUBG was highlighted as one of the reasons for LawBreakers‘ failure, so it’s not entirely surprising that Boss Key’s latest project is another competitor in the crowded battle royale space. It’s even less surprising that the protracted tease has been abandoned altogether, with Radical Heights going from announcement to release in the space of a day.

While you might argue that the eighties-themed battle royale game might be derivative, it’s hard to argue that Radical Heights looks like fun. The game unlocked at 5pm BST today, April 10, but what sort of rig are you going to need to play PUBG: Vice City Radical Heights?
