Square Enix is bringing cult classic RPG, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, to PlayStation 4.

Here’s a blast from the past. 2003’s Star Ocean: Till the End of Time is coming to the PlayStation Store later this month as a digital release for the PlayStation 4 .

The PlayStation 2 action RPG – which was developed by tri-Ace  – was one of the last titles to be released under the Enix name, arriving shortly before the company’s merger with rival publisher Square to form, well, Square Enix. It was followed a year later by a Director’s Cut which added new characters and dungeons. It was this version that finally came to Europe and North America in 2004.

Although the third game in the Star Ocean series wasn’t a huge hit on its original release – in part due to various technical issues – it found critical favour, and has since developed an enthusiastic fan base who have been requesting a Western reissue for some time. So, smiles all round, there’s only one more week to wait.

The PS2 Classic edition – which was released in Japan earlier this year – adds remote play, share functionality, and trophy support.

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time will be available from the PlayStation Store from May 23, 2017.
