Dark Light

Everybody’s excited about 9-player local action with Runbow, but the hilariously-titled Gunman Clive also looks to be a treat.

The Nintendo eShop releases for 3 September 2015 are predominantly filled with noise about Runbow. Mostly because it’s absolutely insane. In case you missed it, Runbow is a 9-player local multiplayer (is there a better way to phrase that? Answers on a postcard please) platformer, and as its name suggests is as nauseatingly colourful as it is ludicrously busy. Looks a lot of fun, though!

Other highlights include the beautifully animared (but very brown) and hilariously titled Gunman Clive HD Collection. It sounds like the story of a bloke robbing a betting shop in London in the 1980s, but it’s actually a western-themed Metroidvania affair, and is really rather quaint. There’s also the re-release of N64 shooter Sin and Punishment on Wii U, and Little Battlers eXperience for the 3DS.

Oh, and just in case there is a single soul out there who hasn’t yet played it, Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) is on sale this month. Lovely stuff.
