Dark Light

Here’s the full rundown on the new releases coming to the Xbox One Games Store between 9–13 April, 2018.

There are two standout recommendations coming to the Xbox One in the next week, starting with Owlboy from D-Pad Studio.

The game – which is also coming to PlayStation 4 – is a loving tribute to the classic Nintendo games of the 80s and 90s, with a charming cast of characters, and an inventive approach to the Metroidvania formula.

Owlboy would be a certainty for game of the week if it wasn’t for Ninja Theory’s startling action adventure, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. The award-winning game has also received a stunning Xbox One X visual upgrade.

Other new games released next week include the tactical monster fighter, Extinction, turn-based RPG, Earthlock: Festival of Magic, and another Metroid-like in the shape of Ys Origin.
