Dark Light

Here’s the full rundown on the new games coming to the Xbox One Games Store between February 5 – 9, 2018.

Ten new games arrive on the Xbox One Digital Store this week, with a lineup led by Long Hat House’s self-proclaimed metroidvania, Dandara.

Dandara‘s pixel-art aesthetics may not mark it out from a trillion other indie games, but its traversal-focussed gameplay evokes the likes of VVVVVV, Super Mario Galaxy, and Bionic Commando, which is surely no bad thing.

Mercenary Kings: Reloaded Edition is an update to the much-liked 2014 action platformer from Tribute Games. The new edition – which is also coming to PS4 and Switch – adds two new characters, new weapons, plus some quality of life improvements such as a mini-map, and the ability to buy crafting materials.

Also released this week is Marooners, a chaotic collection of slapstick multiplayer mini games from M2H. The game supports up to six players in any combination of local or online.
