Adventure Time

A new open-world game based on the animated series Adventure Time is on its way to consoles and PC next year.

It is called Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion and, as its title suggests, is a piratical open-world game.

Players will be able to step into the shoes of Jake, Finn, BMO, and Marceline to explore the Land of Ooo.

Players can take to the seas in a boat due to a great flood, and use the waters to their advantage in exploring. It also looks as if players will be able to transform Jake into a motorbike and ride around on him – his ears become handlebars so it will likely be garnering GOTY talk for 2018.

Bandai Namco is publishing the game and it hasn’t shared any details as to Pirates of the Enchiridion’s plot, but that it will feature an original story.

The publisher has said that the game will feature ‘tactical combat’ – whether that means Mario + Rabbids style or not has yet to be seen – and that it will feature a progression system for the heroes.

Developer Outright Games has more details and screenshots on the game’s official Facebook page; click here to check it out.
