Dark Light

Bigmoon Entertainment release a new trailer, and confirm the release date, for Dakar 18.

Pack your maps, we’re going for a drive, from the comfort of our own homes. Bigmoon Entertainment have announced that the world-famous annual Dakar rally will be coming to a PC or games console near you on September 28, 2018.

Dakar 18 is based on the legendary cross-country race, and authentically recreates the its 14 stage course. It’s the first game based on the event to be released in 15 years.

Peru, Bolivia and Argentina are all en route, with players having to use genuine road books – provided by governing body Amaury Sport Organisation – to plot the correct path. The ambitious game will feature a faithful mix of cars, bikes, trucks, quads, and SxS vehicles to use.

As well as its offline single player component, Dakar 18 also features online multiplayer races, as well as a local split-screen mode.

The game’s new trailer shows off some of the sights in store, as well as the mapping mechanics, and some nicely executed environmental conditionals. Buckle up and take a gander.

Dakar 18 will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 28, 2018.
