Daybreak’s massively multiplayer online DC Universe Online is now available to download for free on Xbox One.
It’s been a long time coming but Xbox One owners can finally slip on some spandex. DC Universe Online lets players create their own Super Heroes or Super-Villains and equip them with their superpowers to protect or cause chaos in a sprawling world that includes the cities of Metropolis and Gotham.
If you want to play as a famous DC character – rather than something of your own creation – the Legends PvP and PvE game modes features Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Joker, Harley Quinn, The Flash, Green Arrow, to name a few.
New gameplay episodes –as well as Legends characters and powers – are available to purchase individually or can be accessed through DC Universe Online‘s membership programme. And despite the long wait, the Xbox One edition will receive all future updates and marketplace additions simultaneously with other platforms.
To celebrate the game’s launch, there are three exclusive items free to download for Xbox One players: the Powered-Up Cape, Powered-Up Emblem and Vapor Aura.
