Capcom reveal new details for the first Dead Rising 4 DLC expansions.
Dead Rising 4 may have been a flawed game but it’s good to see that the series can still be inventive, as proved by two upcoming game expansions. The Frank Rising story DLC sees hero Frank West succumb to infection and join the undead hordes of Willamette.
In a clever twist players will take control of a freshly infected Frank as he seeks to satiate his new appetite and find a cure for his troublesome condition. West’s new zombie form introduces new abilities and forces him to feed upon other members of the zombie horde to stay alive. It sounds delightfully disgusting.
The Dead Rising 4: Frank Rising DLC is released on April 4 for Xbox One and Windows 10, and comes to Steam on April 11 ,2017. The expansion is included in the game’s season pass and is also available to purchase separately for $9.99/€9.99/£7.99.
Also announced is Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf. Yep, it’s exactly as it sounds. Players will pitch and putt on greens in the Willamette Mall and the surrounding area in zombie slaying tournaments featuring custom golf clubs, balls, costumes and a range of power-ups. The game will include a single-player mode, online multiplayer for four players, and couch co-op options.
Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf doesn’t have a confirmed release date but is also included in the season pass. It will be available as a standalone purchase for $9.99/ €9.99/£7.99.
