If you’re prepared to jump through a few hoops, you can play the original Dead Space, and Devil May Cry HD, for free on PC.
Nothing good in life is truly free, but having the chance to play a few old classics for nothing might make these hoops worth the bother.
The original Dead Space is currently ‘On the House‘ via EA’s Origin PC gaming platform. Dead Space – which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year – tells the story of Isaac Clarke, an engineer on the mining vessel USG Ishimura. Clarke has to survive the effects of an alien virus that mutates the ship’s crew with nothing more than his wits, and a toolkit. Disturbing and beautifully made, it’s a game that stands the test of time on all fronts.
As does the original Devil May Cry. Hideki Kamiya’s classic will be re-released in high-definition next month as part of the Devil May Cry HD Collection, but Twitch is offering Prime members the chance to play first game for free from February 27th. If you’re not an existing Twitch Prime member you can sign up for a free trial and still take advantage of the offer.
The full Devil May Cry HD Collection will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on March 13, 2018.
