Gamer Network confirms that EGX Rezzed will return next year.

The event – which serves up a more experimental and indie-focused slate than the main EGX – will return to London’s Tobacco Dock next year, running from 30 March – 1 April.

CEO of Gamer Network, Rupert Loman said:

“We are extremely proud of this event which goes from strength to strength each year whilst maintaining its unique atmosphere which gamers and developers have come to love. 2017 will be our 6th year and we plan to be bigger and better than ever”

We’re not so sure about that unique atmosphere. Whilst Tobacco Dock has a period charm it also feels draughty and quite rough round the edges. Although this may suit the event’s intentional ‘indie’ tone it also means that games are squirreled away in discrete rooms. This year’s event in particular felt extremely fragmented with the best titles buried away within the bowels of the venue. Nonetheless, it’s a great opportunity for UK indies to get their games into the public eye and for that its return is welcomed.

2017’s event is expected to follow a similar format and will feature a range of developer sessions plus the return of the Gamesindsutry.biz careers fair.

Ticket details for EGX Rezzed 2017 will be announced soon.
