Here’s your first look at the new Star Wars: The Old Republic expansion

Dark Light

BioWare unveil a new trailer for the next Star Wars: The Old Republic expansion.

The ‘Betrayed’ trailer is the first look at the prequel story for the upcoming Knights of the Eternal Throne DLC.

The new digital expansion will be available for download on 2 December 2016 and will be free to all subscribers of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Bioware say that it will also act as a good jumping on point for new players.

Knights of the Eternal Throne casts the player in the role of the Outlander, a veteran of the Great Galactic War. As you would expect with any piece of narrative based on Star Wars you will be able to make your mark with light and dark side choices. Using the game’s new Galactic Command system players can also battle alone or with friends in all new confrontations, called Uprisings.

BioWare – and Electronic Arts, one assumes – would like your money early and have announced a batch of pre-order rewards to get it.

Players who are signed up to Star Wars: The Old Republic by 25 October will get the infamous mercenary bounty hunter, Shae Vizla, as their companion. Those subscribed by 27 November will receive the new Rapid Recon Walker Mount. And if you stay subscribed throughout the entire period, you will get access to the expansion three days early.
