Sega has confirmed the release date for Football Manager 2019 and Football Manager 2019 Touch.
Football Manager 2019 will be released on PC and Mac on November 2, 2018. The more accessible variant, Football Manager 2019 Touch, will also be released day-and-date for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android, along with Football Manager 2019 Mobile for iOS and Android.
The changes in this year’s edition of the long-running football sim begin with the cover of the game itself. The franchise’s traditional ‘Manager Man’ has been released from his duties, and replaced with a point-of-view shot of players taking to the pitch. We wonder what the LMA will have to say about that?
Other additions include the introduction of the official DFL Bundesliga for the first time, and redesigned logos. The game’s debut trailer gives a sneak peek at what’s in store, and more details are promised for September.
A 10% discount is on offer for all pre-orders from the famous list of Sega-approved retailers. A fully playable beta version will also be available two weeks prior to release, and open to all pre-order customers. All single player career progress can be carried over to the full game.
There’s no word on a Nintendo Switch version, but with the 2018 edition continuing to do brisk business on the Nintendo eShop, we certainly wouldn’t rule it out.
The game will also be on show at this year’s Gamescom expo, with ESPN journalist, Raphael Honigstein, on promotional duties.
