Pre-registration is now open for the new Harry Potter role-playing game. Sounds magic.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is the upcoming RPG from Los Angeles-based studio, Jam City. The mobile release is the first Harry Potter game to let players create their own character, and experience life as a Hogwarts student.
Players can attend classes, learn magical skills, and form friendships or rivalries with fellow students. And, of course, you will be able to join one of the four famous Hogwarts Houses: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin.
It sounds a little bit like Bully, with wands.
The game’s avatar system will let you customise your character as you gain new experience and skills, all of which will no doubt come be useful in solving the Hogwarts Mystery. It looks like game has a wide selection of gems and currencies to grind, too.
Chris DeWolfe, co-founder and CEO of Jam City, says:
“We are grateful to the fans who have made Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery one of the most anticipated mobile games of 2018. We’re thrilled to open Google pre-registration and share a new sneak peek at how this game will let fans create their own character and enter Hogwarts as a student for the first time.”
Here’s a new teaser trailer for the game:
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will be released under the Portkey Games label on the Apple App Store and Google Play. You can pre-register for the Android version here.
