In addition to Lightning the campaign also features Korean actress Doona Bae, and Jaden Smith in a skirt. This might be the strangest news piece ever.
We receive a lot of press releases here at Thumbsticks. They’re often a bit dull, and don’t exactly capture our attention. We don’t have the time and inclination to write about every single one of them, unfortunately, but every now and again one leaps out at you from among the mobile releases and eSports shouting that’s just too weird to ignore… like this one we received from first-person-feline-knocking-shit-over simulator Catlateral Damage earlier in the year:

That was literally all there was. We weren’t sure whether to laugh or weep upon reading that one, but today’s weird press release is perhaps stranger still: fancy French handbag maker Louis Vuitton have chosen Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII in their latest advertising campaign.
Apparently this is part of Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2016 “Series 4” campaign, and other than that? We have literally no idea what’s going on, but we can imagine that veteran Square Enix character designer Tetsuya Nomura probably looks as pleased as Lightning about this most bizarre of cross-overs:
Oh, and here’s
actor rapper celebrity progeny Jaden Smith in a skirt. Because reasons, obviously.
