Monster Hunter Generations get European release date and special edition 3DS hardware.
Nintendo’s PR machine has revealed that Capcom’s Monster Hunter Generations will be released in Europe on 15th July, 2016. The game will launch alongside a New Nintendo 3DS XL Monster Hunter Generations Edition.
The special-edition hardware comes in a striking red colour and features artwork of the game’s Fated Four elite group of powerful monsters. The console includes Monster Hunter Generations pre-installed on a 4GB microSD card.
As for the game, it’s pretty much a known quantity at this stage. By most accounts it’s another solid entry into the franchise and is by far the most accessible game in the series, serving as a good jumping on point for new Monster Hunter players.
One feature that helps noobs is the new Prowler mode, where players can directly control one of the game’s Felyne characters and get straight down to hunting and gathering without feeling overwhelmed with all that RPG nonsense. The new trailer also released today shows off a little more of the new mode.
