Saber Interactive release the first paid DLC for NBA Playgrounds, plus a big free content update.
We’re not short of licensed NBA games this year, and although there’s an obvious rivalry between NBA 2K18 and EA’s NBA Live 18, there’s also a space for NBA Playgrounds’ frothy, more arcade-like take on the sport.
NBA Playgrounds‘ Hot N’ Frosty DLC adds three new playgrounds to the game – Rio de Janeiro, Toronto and Miami – each with its own tournament, as well as eight new rookies. The DLC’s trailer shows off the game’s new additions.
NBA Playgrounds’ DLC rookies
- Markelle Fultz
- Jayson Tatum
- Lonzo Ball
- Josh Jackson
- De’Aaron Fox
- Dennis Smith Jr.
- Jonathan Isaac
- Malik Monk
The Hot N’ Frosty DLC is available now on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam priced at $9.99. Also available is the game’s the fourth free content update. It adds 45 new players, including Phil Jackson, Jamal Mashburn and Jalen Rose, plus five new YouTubers, and second team jerseys for 15 players already in the game.
Saber Interactive say both updates will follow shortly on Nintendo Switch.
