The new portal showcases the best of British creativity, including the video game and interactive industries. The site, found at www.thecreativeindustries.co.uk, provides facts, statistics and case studies that can be used by UKTI agents across the globe to sell the opportunity that the UK offers to the rest of the world.

CEO of Ukie Jo Twist attended the launch of the initiative where Ed Vaizey MP, Minister for Culture Communications and the Creative Industries spoke about the importance of creative industries and the new portal representing the start of what is hoped to be a ‘Year of Creativity’.

Speaking at the launch event, Ukie CEO Dr Jo Twist said, “With the tax production credits for the games industry still on the agenda, this portal offers a great opportunity to showcase the UK’s games sector, as part of the wider creative industries, to a global audience. The UK games and interactive entertainment industry is world class. We make the biggest selling and most creative entertainment products, we have the right business environment and a fantastic blend of creative talent to make globally successful exports.”

All good stuff, and they even made a video to promote it:
