Square-Enix releases short gameplay video that’s better than the recent Hitman movie.

Square Enix has released the first playthrough video from the forthcoming Hitman game, Hitman.

The fifteen minute video, which is taken from an alpha build of the game, focuses on the core experience and introduces creative stealth gameplay, disguises, hiding in plain sight and the freedom of approach that is the hallmark of the series.

Featuring the Parisian Showstopper mission, the playthrough gives a spoiler free insight into the mechanics of the game.

Among the delights on offer are gas lamps to ignite, chandeliers to drop and, erm, fashion shows to watch.

Based on the videoHitman is shaping up quite nicely ,with detailed environments, impressive NPCs interaction and a glacial pace that will please fans of Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture.

Hitman will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in December 2015.

Take aim and pre-order Hitman from Amazon.

We have a favour to ask

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
