Today sees the release of the first paid downloadable content pack for sleeper hit Rocket League.
Rocket League is one of the most critically-acclaimed games of the summer. It arrived under the radar but has quietly picked up 6 million players, in part by being included in PlayStation Plus but also because of great word of mouth.
It doesn’t hurt that the game is jolly good fun either.
The Supersonic Fury downloadable content pack introduces two exclusive new vehicles, the Dominus muscle car and Takumi, a Japanese street-racer. The DLC also comes with several new decals, paint types, rocket boosts and wheels.
Chuck in some new PlayStation Trophies and Steam Achievements and you can start your engines.
Psyonix have also released a free game update that includes the highly-anticipated spectate mode, allowing players to join live private Rocket League games to watch other people play.
The free update also comes with the new Utopia Coliseum gameplay arena, country flags, and the single Firework, from critically-acclaimed electronica group Hollywood Principle.
