If you’ve ever wanted to grace your Nintendo 3DS with a Mii of Nintendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata, now’s your chance.

Nintendo has announced International StreetPass Week to coincide with the launch of two new StreetPass games, StreetPass Fishing and StreetPass Zombies.

The event takes place between 16th and 27th April 2015 and by taking your 3DS any UK branch of GAME you can pick up the Satoru Shibata Mii and a free commemorative HOME Menu theme.

It’s a testament to the fervor of the Nintendo’s fan base that a senior executive can achieve the status of desirable freebie and cult hero.

But what other company would give us an executive willing to do this to sell a struggling console?

What a legend.

It’s also a good time to bookmark Nintendo’s Streetpass Hotspot finder. It’s a very helpful tool if you want to meet and exchange StreetPass data with other players.

We hate to ask, but...

Thumbsticks has a couple of goals. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough to meet those goals! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
