Nintendo has taken over your toy cupboard, now it’s time for your wardrobe.
We have to draw the line at some point, but so far Nintendo’s push into new product lines shows little sign of losing its wallet appeal. After spending a small fortune on amiibo figurines we can now turn our attention to clothing.
This week sees the release of a new range of Nintendo themed apparel from Vans. The Vans x Nintendo footwear collection features graphic prints using 8-bit inspired artwork and characters from Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt, Donkey Kong and Legend of Zelda – as well as of iconography inspired by Nintendo Entertainment System.
Each shoe also features the words ‘Game Over!’ printed on the famous Vans waffle sole. That should give you something to think about when you next smash your foot into the face of a Goomba.
The Vans x Nintendo collection is available in adults and children’s sizing and will go on sale on Friday, 3rd June. The collection isn’t just limited to sneaks however, there’s also a nifty range of tees, backpacks, bags, socks and hats.
