Sony begins the new year with an impressive PlayStation Plus line-up for January.
The announcement of each month’s PlayStation Plus games is always something to look forward, whether it’s for the chance to play a forgotten gem or the opportunity to bolster the library – especially on PS Vita – with a few a few cross-buy titles.
The PlayStation Plus selection for January is one of the strongest for some time, with a number of excellent games that tick both boxes.
January’s free game line-up sees PlayStation 4 and PS Vita owners receive three cross-buy titles. First up is the classic adventure game, Day of the Tentacle Remastered. Tim Schafer’s masterpiece was always worth replaying for its puzzles and witty script and the remaster makes it all the more palatable for modern tastes with a considerate visual makeover that can be switched on and off at any point.
Also available with cross-buy is Acid Nerve’s hard-as-nails Titan Souls. It’s an often punishing experience but one that also provides plenty of joyous moments as you work through the game’s inventive array of boss encounters. Completing the cross-buy line-up is stealth Action game, The Swindle.
11 Bit Studios’ dark and affecting survival game This War of Mine: The Little Ones also comes to PlayStation 4 and vehicle-combat game, Blazerush, is free on PlayStation 3.
