It’s another busy week on the PlayStation Store with 13 new games released on Tuesday.
Luckily there’s an easy way to pick out the most interesting titles from this week’s line-up. They begin with the letter H.
First up is Hyper Light Drifter. Alex Preston’s game has already been a huge success on PC. Its beautiful aesthetics and hypnotic, droning soundtrack from Disasterpiece, coupled with some fantastic combat mechanics, make it an essential purchase. It comes to PlayStation 4 this week.
It’s joined on Sony’s big console by Headlander which, apart from anything else, has truly beautiful logo. The fact that it’s a Metroidvania game from Double Fine Productions only adds to the excitement.
And if you like playing games on Sony’s little console, we recommend Mutant Mudds: Super Challenge. Challenge is the word alright for this super tough but highly enjoyable platformer from Renegade Kid. The game might be without the 3D effect of the Nintendo 3DS original but clever depth-of-field effects ensure the game remains perfectly playable. It comes – via the wonder of Cross Buy – to PS Vita in addition to PS4.
Here’s the full line-up.
