Here’s what’s included in the new game update for Pokkén Tournament DX on Nintendo Switch.
Pokkén Tournament DX is probably not the Wii U fighting game we all wanted to see ported to the Switch in its first year. Nevertheless, it’s a solid little game, and probably deserves another chance to find an audience while we wait for the next release in Super Smash Bros series.
Today’s update adds a number of new features to enhance and the improve the game. The big-ticket item is Online Team Battles. Players can now pick three Pokémon each, and battle online for bragging rights.
Also added are Official Groups for the Group Match online battle mode. Soon after the update, the game will feature special Group Matches where players can fight to receive new special titles.
And there’s a fun new addition to the game’s Free Training mode. Players can now control their Pokémon opponent and record its movements. These can then be played back to help improve your fighting skills.
Pokkén Tournament DX is available now for Nintendo Switch.
