Snipperclips cuts it fine for the launch of the Nintendo Switch.

Snipperclips – Cut it out, together! was one of the surprise highlights from the Nintendo Switch reveal campaign. At first glance it’s a modest looking indie title with a cute papercraft aesthetic, but for many commentators it was one of the most exciting games announced for Nintendo’s new console.

The game was originally penciled for release during the Switch launch window, but Nintendo has today confirmed that it will now be a day one Nintendo eShop release, available from March 3. Underlining the faith Nintendo obviously has in Snipperclips, a limited edition bundle containing two Neon Red and Neon Blue Joy-Con controllers, plus a download code for the game, will also go on sale on from March 10, 2017.

Snipperclips – which was developed by London-based indie studio, SFB Games – is a multiplayer focused puzzle game in which players must collaborate and compete to solve various challenges by cutting and cropping paper characters. The game includes a campaign that can be played by one or two players, plus Party and Blitz modes that support up to four players. It’s wonderfully fun and inventive, reminding us in some respects of the DS classic, Scribblenauts.

Snipperclips – Cut it out, together! will be released on the on Nintendo eShop on March 3, priced £17.99/€19.99.
