Brave Wave announce the release of two Sonic Adventure soundtracks on special edition vinyl.
If the prospect of Sonic Forces has you yearning for the days when a 3D Sonic the Hedgehog game was something to look forward to, it probably means you are an old duffer like me. And if that’s the case, you probably also have a penchant for limited edition game soundtracks on vinyl.
So good news! Indie game music specialist Brave Wave Productions have partnered with Sega to release the soundtracks to Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 on vinyl for the first time.
The two double-LP collections will include music selected by series composer Jun Senoue, and are being completely remastered for their vinyl reissue.
The ironically iconic Open Your Heart, from Sonic’s Dreamcast debut, and Escape From The City… for City Escape, from its sequel, will both be included.
Both soundtracks will be released in special edition, first-print colour variants, pressed on 180-gram vinyl. And each will include a booklet containing liner notes from John Linneman, artwork, song lyrics, and interviews with Senoue, and Sonic Team’s Takashi Iizuka.
