Bandai Namco confirm that Soulcalibur VI will hit stores in October, and have two special editions.
The latest game in Bandai Namco’s long-running 3D fighting series will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on October 19, 2018.
Developed by Project Soul, Soulcalibur VI will include a full-featured story mode, elements of which are on show to attendees at this week’s E3 videogames trade show.
Set in the 16th century, Soulcalibur VI takes players on a tour of the series’ past as you uncover the hidden secrets behind the events of the first game.
A diverse lineup of new and old characters are available, each with their own unique fighting styles and weapons. Fan-favourites Mitsurugi and Sophitia will be joined by debutante GrØh, and there’s a guest appearance by Geralt of Rivia from CD Project Red’s The Witcher III.
The game’s new story trailer shows what’s in store.
On release there will be two special editions to choose from. The Soulcalibur VI Collector’s Edition comes with a 12-inch Sophitia Figure, a full-colour art book, a soundtrack CD, a metal case with built-in soundbox, plus the game contained a limited edition box.
The deluxe edition includes the metal case, the soundtrack, a copy of the game, and its season pass.
