The new Star Wars DLC for Minecraft takes players to a galaxy far, far away… in exchange for some Minecoins.

The latest Minecraft DLC has been a long time coming but it looks well worth the wait. The Minecraft Star Wars DLC features officially licensed content from the franchise’s first three movies – A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi – as well as the hit Disney+ show, The Mandalorian.

The DLC includes 12 planet dioramas based on iconic locations such as Tatooine, Endor, and Hoth, plus some lesser known planets like Sorgan and Nevarro from The Mandalorian.

Also included is a skin pack, a full texture set, mobs and item re-skins, a themed UI, and licensed music. Character skins include Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi (poor Alec Guinness), Chewbacca, C-3PO, RD-D2, Jabba the Hutt, and, of course, Baby Yoda.

Watch this trailer and imagine the fun you could be having.

As it happens, you don’t have to imagine the fun. The Minecraft Star Wars DLC is available now from the Minecraft Marketplace and is priced at 1340 Minecoins. A variety of Star Wars-themed skin packs also remain available on the marketplace that cover the prequel trilogy, Star Wars: Rebels, and episodes VII and VIII.
