Forget Nintendo vs Sega, or Sony vs Microsoft. The biggest rivalry in video games is Nintendo v Billings Farm, and now we have a winner. Last month, the canny marketing team at Billings Farm & Museum in Woodstock, Vermont challenged Nintendo to a 1-2-Switch milking contest. They accused the Japanese giant of making the game's cow milking mini-game look too easy, and for being slow-coach milkers. Throwing down the gauntlet Tom Remp, the farm's marketing director, and Alayna Perkins, its manager said: “We’re one of New England’s premier living history museums. We’re writing because our farm staff recently saw the cow milking game for Nintendo Switch and decided that you’ve taken all the challenge out of milking. We have 30 adorable Jersey milking cows that we milk twice a day, and it is NEVER that easy. We also think that you guys look pretty slow. To this end, we’d like to set up some sort of challenge to pit our team against yours to see who can milk the fastest. If you accept, let us know and we can work out the details. The question is: Is your team brave enough?” Well, Nintendo accepted the challenge, and last night posted a the video of the contest. And the winner is? Well, you'll have to watch it to find out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?vvXG4ZBZOZDA Amusing stuff, but it's also a bit of a shame to see the video become such an explicit advertisement for 1-2-Switch at the end. And can we now expect challenges from the Barbershops Association or the organisers of the Air Guitar World Championships?
