It will be Christmas dinner with all the innings as Don Bradman Cricket 17 gets a confirmed release date. Big Ant Studios have announced that the highly-anticipated cricket simulation, Don Bradman Cricket 17, will be released on 22 December, 2016. Pitched as the 'most realistic cricket game of all time' the game includes motion-captured players plus a creator mode that encompasses players, teams, logos and stadiums. The game will also feature female players for the first time. The stadium creator looks wonderfully comprehensive, giving players control over the look and feel, from the size of the oval and stands, through to the location of turnstiles and coffee carts. The game also includes a number of changes on the field, with multiple career modes, dynamic squads and improved bowling and fielding mechanics. Ross Symons, CEO at Big Ant Studios CEO, cites feedback from players as the key to many of the improvements: “We have built completely new batting, bowling and fielding mechanics based on player feedback. We were overwhelmed by the success of our first run at Don Bradman Cricket. To this day players from around the world play it daily, whether they are simulating their favourite test team matchups, or playing games with as little as one over each side. We think they’re going to love the enhanced career mode, refined on-field mechanics, and enhanced visuals and animation. After all, many of the changes came as a direct result of feedback from our most dedicated fans.” Don Bradman Cricket 17 will be available at retail and digital store from 22 December on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A PC will release will follow in January, 2017. An early demo of the game is currently available to download via Steam.
