Halo Wars: Definitive Edition and Halo Wars 2 are the latest games to get a free weekend as part\u00a0of Xbox Free Play Days. The Xbox One might not have a wealth of top-notch exclusives, but Microsoft has managed to lessen the blow with Xbox Game Pass \u2013 which gets a bunch of new games this week\u00a0\u2013 and regular\u00a0Free Play Days promotions on some excellent titles. This weekend it's the turn of\u00a0Halo Wars: Definitive Edition and Halo Wars 2, two real-time strategy spin-offs from the much-loved Halo FPS franchise. Both games are free to play for Xbox Live Gold members from today until the end of\u00a0Sunday, February 24. Just head over to the Gold member area on the Xbox One home dashboard to start downloading them. During the promotion, both titles are also available to buy for keeps at a discounted price. They can be bought via the Xbox One Digital Games Store, or\u00a0the\u00a0Microsoft online store. If you do pick up them up in the sale, all save progress, Gamerscore, and achievements will all carry over.
