Science-fantasy RPG Elex gets a confirmed release date, and a brand new trailer. Elex, the new open-world action RPG from Piranha Bytes – of Gothic and Risen fame – will be released on October 17, 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. To mark the announcement, a new cinematic trailer has been released which shows off more of the game’s Magalan location, and gives a flavour of how the choice-based progression system can impact story and character. At the time, Piranha Bytes’ Björn Pankratz said: “We’ve been thinking about the setting for Elex for almost 10 years, and we finally have the chance to implement our ideas. The mix of sci-fi and fantasy offers an incredible number of opportunities and cool contrasts that we can play around with.” We’ll find out just how well that mix works when the game is released in October.
