Maneater, the hit "shARkPG" from Tripwire Interactive, will be making waves on Nintendo Switch this spring. Here's some news to chew over. Tripwire Interactive and publisher Deep Silver have confirmed that the acclaimed Selachimorpha simulator, Maneater, will be released for Nintendo Switch on May 25, 2021. Set in the open waters of Port Clovis, players must evolve their way to the top of the food chain to become the ocean's Apex Predator. Along the way, your progress is tested by a range of enemies, both human and animal. Luckily, you're a shark. So, as the press release succinctly puts it: Eat. Explore. Evolve. The self-proclaimed shARkPG was first released on PC, Xbox and PlayStation in May last year. The game received a generally positive response from players and critics who embraced its dark humour and well-designed progression system. There's no news on any specific Switch features – last November's next-gen version supports 4K HDR support and 60 FPS – but the game feels like another good fit for Nintendo's hybrid console. Maneater will be priced at a tasty €39.99, £34.99, and $39.99 in the US. Visit the Thumbsticks new releases page for the latest Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch games.
