Rock Band 4 are Runnin' With The Devil. In case you missed it, there's a new Rock Band game coming out in a couple of months: Rock Band 4. There's also a new Guitar Hero title – Guitar Hero Live – coming out in the same window. In the era of hype-trains and drip-feeding of information leading up to a game's release (we think there were more trailers than there have been Batman movies for Batman: Arkham Knight) Activision and Harmonix have been engaging in a tit-for-tat track-list release battles throughout the summer – but with a few tracks here and there, nobody has really won any major ground – until now. Harmonix have today confirmed that, for the very first time, Van Halen will be appearing in their franchise in Rock Band 4. Classic track Panama will ship with the title, and other (as yet unconfirmed) Van Halen titles will be available to download from the Rock Band 4 store after release. Why is this such a big deal? Because back in 2009, a whole medley of Van Halen tracks appeared on the appropriately titled Guitar Hero: Van Halen, the very last of the band-specific Guitar Hero titles before people got a bit bored of rhythm games and started playing other things. But now the rhythm games are back with a vengeance, and I think we can all agree that's first blood to Rock Band 4. You might as well Jump.
