New developer video reveals the inspiration behind Unravel.
What is it about games and wool?
Whether it’s the cheeky charm of LittleBigPlanet’s Sackboy or the cute, adorable worlds of Kirby’s Epic Yarn and Yoshi’s Woolly World, there is something magical about the seeing wool and cloth represented within the usually rigid constructs of a video game.
Yarny – hero of the forthcoming Unravel – is another textile-based star in the making, and the new developer video from Coldwood Interactive details the inspirations behind the character.
The video also features lots of stunning footage from the game, as well as scenes of the real life Yarny visiting the seaside with his creator. It’s too cute.
Unravel will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on 9th February 2016.
