World of Tanks PS4

Ka-Boom! World of Tanks is heading to PlayStation 4.

Wargaming has announced that its wildly popular tank ’em up, World of Tanks is making its way to Sony’s PlayStation 4 console.

World of Tanks has over 150 million registered players across PC, Xbox and mobile around the globe, so a move the console with the largest install base was always a given.

The PS4 version will incorporate a range of platform specific features including Dual Shock 4 light bar, touchpad and speaker support, as well as Share Play and PVita Remote Play capabilities.

And, for a limited time, there are two new maps.

World of Tanks will be free to all PlayStation 4 owners and will not require PlayStation Plus membership.

Players who do have PS Plus membership, however, will gain access to a number of exclusive benefits and items, including a free premium tank with exclusive camouflage, three days of Premium Account time and special discounts on other purchases.

We have a favour to ask

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
