Following the announcement of Forza Horizon 5, it seemed inevitable that the sun would set on Forza Horizon 4. Since its release in 2018, Forza Horizon 4 has received a generous 36 "Series" updates – that's bundles of new content, challenges, and rewards. Its next release – Series 37 – won't be its last. But, with Forza Horizon 5 set to launch later this year, it will be the last Forza Horizon 4 update to feature any new, original content. "As you may know, we recently announced the release of Forza Horizon 5," writes community manager Jacob Norwood in a blog post on the Forza Motorsport website," and you might be wondering what that means for Forza Horizon 4." "Although much of the dev team is focused on Forza Horizon 5’s release over the next few months," he continues, "they are working to ensure that Forza Horizon 4 continues to be a great experience that will keep you behind the wheel." So what exactly does that mean? Per the announcement: "Starting with next month’s Series 38, the seasonal playlist will become a mixtape of rewards, championships, and challenges from previous updates, starting from Series 7 through Series 32. You can expect more chances at some rare cars and rewards that have only come around a few times, and relive some of your favourite seasonal challenges." What exactly does that mean? That, from Season 38 onwards, there will be no new content in Forza Horizon 4 updates. No new championships, challenges, or even new cars; everything in Forza Horizon 4 updates after Season 37 will be re-heated leftovers of previous updates. And bug fixes, obviously. And what of Season 37, Forza Horizon 4's swansong? Presumably, it's amazing? Forza Horizon 4 Season 37 content New car: Vuhl 055R – To celebrate Forza Horizon 5's Mexican setting, the final car in Forza Horizon 4 will be the Vuhl 05RR, the first supercar designed and built in Mexico New competition: Super7 High Stakes – There's also a new Super7 "High Stakes" competition, where all progress made in the event is lost if you're eliminated Hmm.
