St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko announced winner of the NHL 17 fan-selected cover vote. Tarasenkowas was revealed as the winner in a new trailer for\u00a0NHL 17\u00a0after six million votes were cast on Twitter and\u00a0the\u00a0NHL website. \u201cIt\u2019s an incredible honour to represent my teammates and all the Blues fans around the world on the cover this year,\u201d said Tarasenko.\u00a0\u201cAs a player, it\u2019s a big deal to be fan selected for something like the Cover Vote, and I\u2019m excited to be involved in the game this year.\u201d EA\u00a0Sports\u00a0have also announced that registration is open for the\u00a0NHL 17\u00a0public beta, starting July 28. The beta will include three playable game modes: Online Versus, EA SPORTS Hockey League, and Hockey Ultimate Team, as well as access to the Creation Zone. To get early access you\u00a0have\u00a0to give away a piece of your soul by signing up to become an EA Sports\u00a0NHL 17 Insider. This\u00a0gets you early access to the beta, as well as a first look at news, trailers and\u00a0other marketing guff, before the game's worldwide release on 13 September, 2016. \u201cLast year we held our first ever beta and the feedback we received from fans helped us create a great experience at launch,\u201d said Lead Producer, Sean Ramjagsingh. \u201cFor NHL 17 we\u2019re opening up access to more players and we can\u2019t wait for them to get their hands on the game.\u201d Beta registration is open until 7 July and the beta itself is scheduled to run from 28 July through to 4 August.
