The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild wins Game of the Year at the annual Game Developers Choice Awards.

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild won the coveted Game of the Year award – as well as taking home the awards for Best Audio, and Best Design – at last night’s Game Developers Choice Awards.

The awards ceremony – which was held during the Game Developers Conference, and hosted by Robin Hunicke – celebrated the artistic and technological achievements of the best video games released in the past year.

Other winners on the night included MDHR’s Cuphead for Best Debut, and Giant Sparrow’s What Remains of Edith Finch for Best Narrative.

Jason Roberts’ Gorogoa picked up awards in the Innovation, and Best Mobile Game categories.

This year’s recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award was Double Fine’s Tim Schafer, and the Ambassador Award was presented to Vlambeer’s Rami Ismail. The publicly-voted Audience Award went to Nier: Automata.

Congratulations to all of the winners, and their fellow nominees.
