PlayStation 5 exclusive Returnal was the big winner at the 2022 BAFTA Games Awards.
Housemarque’s acclaimed roguelike shooter won four awards, including the coveted Best Game prize. It also picked up the Audio and Music honours, and Jane Perry won the Best Performer in a Leading Role award.
Unpacking, the wonderful house-moving game from Witch Beam, won the Narrative prize and the EE Game of the Year award.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart also won a duo of awards, taking home Animation and Technical Achievement. And, appropriately enough, It Takes Two took two categories, winning Multiplayer and Original Property.
Forza Horizon 5 won the British Game award, and the beguiling Inscryption was a deserved Game Design award recipient.
