Batman – The Telltale Series Episode 2: Children of Arkham gets a release date

Dark Light

Batman – The Telltale Series is rather unique, as Batman games go. Yes, there’s a bit of action – Telltale do a surprisingly good job of squeezing medium-octane action sequences into point and click adventure games – but we get to explore a side of the character that’s oft overlooked in modern media: Batman is a tremendously skilled detective.

The last time we really saw Batman do any detecting in popular media, incidentally, was in the super-campy Adam West TV series, with great moments like this. The man’s a damn genius.

Thankfully then, Telltale have revived the role of the world’s greatest detective – along with giving the player the opportunity to spend more time as Bruce Wayne (rather than Batman) than ever before – and their latest offering, Batman – The Telltale Series Episode 2: Children of Arkham, continues the detective theme.

Batman – The Telltale Series Episode 2: Children of Arkham tasks the player with discovering what trouble Thomas Wayne was involved in that ultimately led to him being killed. Will Bruce Wayne find the root of the mystery? Will Joe Chill’s motives be revealed? Does a sinister plot, with a dastardly villain, sit at the heart of events? Will Batman continue to exist, once Bruce has unravelled his raison d’être?

Tune in next week to find out; same Bat-time, same Bat-channel.

Batman – The Telltale Series Episode 2: Children of Arkham will be released globally on September 20, 2016. Order Batman – The Telltale Series from Amazon.
